Concrete In Life 2024/25 Photography Competition

The Concrete in Life 2024/25 Photography Competition, organized by the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA), is a global contest designed to capture the essential role of concrete in daily life. Open to photographers of all levels, from professionals to amateurs using smartphone cameras, the competition emphasizes the versatility and importance of concrete in modern infrastructure and urban landscapes. With sustainability at its core, the contest seeks to highlight how concrete contributes to a greener future, making it a crucial material in both urban and rural environments.

Participants are invited to submit their photos under four distinct categories: Urban Design and Use, focusing on iconic city landscapes and hidden architectural gems; Concrete Infrastructure, which highlights concrete’s role in essential structures like bridges, roads, and tunnels; Concrete in Daily Life, showcasing how people interact with concrete in everyday settings; and Beauty and Design, capturing the aesthetic appeal of concrete in artistic and innovative forms. These categories not only allow for diverse interpretations of concrete’s function but also encourage photographers to consider its impact on both small and large scales.

The Concrete in Life competition aims to foster a global conversation about concrete’s role in shaping the world’s built environment, while also recognizing its contribution to sustainability and resilience. With substantial cash prizes, including a $10,000 award for the overall winner, the competition attracts entries from around the world, reflecting the universal presence of concrete.
