Andres reisinger fills amsterdam`s moco museum with dreamy pink sculptures & videowork

Designboom_ On October 8th, 2024, the Moco Museum in Amsterdam launched DREAMS, the latest exhibition by Argentinian-born digital artist and designer Andrés Reisinger. The show consists of four key interventions that immerse visitors in a world where imaginative landscapes, physical installations, and digital art intersect. His signature color pink serves as a central and unifying element throughout the exhibition, not only defining the visual landscape but also evoking a sense of warmth and familiarity.

On the ground floor of Moco Museum, A Dream occupies Room 1, where artist Andrés Reisinger adopts a surrealist approach, using digital media to reflect the inner psyche and dream-catch unfiltered creativity, inviting the audience to reimagine reality, offering new perspectives, and at times, moments of revelation. In Room 2, How I write my stories explores the origins of creativity, presenting a digital narrative that reflects the hidden processes behind the artist’s work, showcasing how Reisinger’s ideas take root, evolve, and transform into finished creations, allowing the audience to witness the complexity behind his creative journey.

In the basement, Take Over Elastic transforms the space into an experiential realm filled with monumental pink structures that combine biomorphic shapes and vibrant textiles. The installation encourages interaction, allowing viewers to move through the space and influence their surroundings, emphasizing fluidity and flexibility in form. Also located in the basement is Fly, a mesmerizing video installation brings together some of the most recognizable symbols from Reisinger’s work, such as the apple, the clock, books, and the iconic Hortensia chair. This piece is displayed in its own dedicated area, offering a visual journey through the recurring elements that define Reisinger’s artistic language.

Throughout the DREAMS exhibition, the unifying pink color draws viewers into Andrés Reisinger’s artistic universe, fostering an emotional connection that transcends the physical space. By using pink as a dominant hue, the artist creates an atmosphere that is both playful and immersive, inviting the audience to engage more deeply with the installations and experience the subtleties of his creative vision. This vibrant tone becomes a bridge between the digital and physical worlds, enhancing the transformative nature of the exhibition. Tickets for DREAMS can be purchased via Moco Museum’s website.
